Almenwelt Lofer: where families experience pure skiing bliss

The affordable and family-friendly ski resort in Salzburg

Almenwelt Lofer, in the heart of Salzburg's Saalach Valley, is a ski resort that’s perfect for families. In the Pinzgau region, only an hour and a half's drive from Munich, winter sports enthusiasts can find a paradise full of easy slopes for kids and beginners. And one thing is for certain: Skiing in the Lofer Mountains is great fun!

All the investments made in recent years have really paid off for Lofer. The region has been awarded several times as a family-friendly ski resort. Its two child-safe chairlifts are the only ones of their kind in the world. And the value-for-money ratio is incredibly attractive – especially thanks to great discounts on family ski passes.

By the way: With the 3 Länder Freizeit Arena ski pass, you’ll have access to even more slopes. It’s your ticket to five other ski resorts in Salzburg, Tyrol, and Bavaria. Among them: the small, family-friendly Heutal-Wildalm ski resort. Do you still need equipment for you and your family? You'll find it at INTERSPORT Rent!

More about the ski resort

In Lofer, easy and intermediate slopes predominate. This makes the ski resort perfect for beginners, families, and pleasure skiers. A special highlight is the Lofi Funline next to the Family Express.

The lifts and cable cars at Almenwelt Lofer are known for their high quality – among them, the unique SenderExpress. Thanks to twice the ascent speed, a rising conveyor belt, automatic safety bars, heated seats and weather-protection bubbles, all guests – including the very young ones – feel comfortable and safe. The 140-metre-long, weatherproof “magic carpet” takes you comfortably up the mountain as well.
